qtek 7070 rom update advice

ive only recently gotten my qtek 7070 phone (as you can tell since this is my first post 8) )

but ya, ive updated to the 1.5 rom that is available on the qtek.nu site, even tho my phone is australian, so i dont really like the t9 being in swedish :wink:

ive been looking around the forums and noticed the orange 1.6 update and how ppl think its fantastic and all - i dont really know much about how updating roms works etc, but i want to get the best performance and minimal amount of bugs on my phone as possible

i like the current qtek rom because it is sim-unlocked - exactly the way i like it, and its application unlocked, so i can install swanked up thirdparty apps. - this is the limit of my knowledge :)

so anyway, i need help in finding out what is the best rom to update to, and if its compatible with my qtek 7070. not to mention, will it be sim unlocked and app unlocked - if not, is there a way to get around those problems so i can still use my telstra sim card and swanked up third party apps

If you install the 1.6 update from Orange you will have to application unlock it, more information by clicking on OTA

If the phone is SIM unlocked it will stay that way unless you install the SMART 1.7 then it will be locked again.

so what is the actual best rom - and it will work on my qtek 7070 without screwin it up wont it :)

qtek 1.5 and orange 1.6 is best rom at the time you can use one of these but never upgrade to smart rom it will lock you phone totaly if you want to change your rom just for t9 so can also download t9 editor and delete swedish word and put english word it is a pc based software and you can edit your t9 from your computer :idea:

QTEK have AI album that's i like so mush

and ORANGE have space maker and one other unless tool that i can't remember . with orange you get many orange thing that you don't need and these just take space on your phone
