Guest HighBimmin Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I just bought the new Pocket Streets for Smartphone from Handango. I am not too happy and just wanted to let everyone know why. There is no feature for directions for point A to point B. Its pretty much a digital map with some points of interest. And the maps are not large areas. I have Streets and Trips 2004 on my computer and have been tryin to make custom maps and cant get much larger than 3.2mb which doesnt cover much area. Well just wanted to let everyone know if they want a navigation program that actually navigates(minus GPS) then to buy mapopolis or someother than Pocket Streets.
Guest McHale Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 yah, the PPC version (which is free by the way when you buy the full Streets and Trips) is the same. I wonder why they decided to sell the program when they give the PPC version away to promote the CD? It's not like it's cheap software. One of the most expensive mapping softwares out (unless you count MS' very own Mappoint). I find it best to just use MapQuest for free for directions from the smartphone. -Mc
Guest A.Hughes Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I bought pocket streets yesterday, the maps werent that good or upto date, have i been ripped off? Thought you could do very much the same as PPC users, feel a bit mift now, could have spent the money on mapopolis when its lauched commercially. :x  :)
Guest Maverick Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 No wonder they didnt have a trial version.
