File on SD card in limbo!

Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help with this but I thought it worth asking. Last night I tried to delete a large (80MB) MP3 file from my SD card via ActiveSync but for some reason the sync connection broke and the file didn't delete properly. Now, I can't see the file on the spv via smart explorer or activesync but it's still taking up the space on the SD card - it's a 256MB sandisk SD card but I'm now only able to utilise 156MB!

Any ideas if i can format the SD card somehow? I don't have an alternative way of accessing the card.

Other than that, I'm well pleased with the update except for windows media player occasionally skipping to the next track...

cheers

Firstly you could copy everything you want to keep to your PC using a card reader or ActiveSync.

SP Task Manager has Format SD/MMC card function in the File menu.

This what you were looking for ?

Actually, I had this problem with the O2 Xphone before the patch came out. I simply gave up on the active sync and got myself a SD card reader/Writer. Since then, no problems for me. :)

Yes, transferring Music and video etc. is much quicker using a card reader than using the Activesync connection

and much more reliable :)
