MPX200- PLEASE HELP

I have just unlocked a recently purchased orange mpx200 for use on my o2 sim card and number. Everything seemed fine until i discovered i cant send sms messages. When i clcik send, the send pannel goes dark blue, but no message is sent, even if i go through the menu way of sending the sms. What could be wrong, any help very much appreciated.

Have you checked the SMS service centre number in Settings-Telephony-Call options ?
