Guest lowbug Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 Just back from CeBIT. I have spoken to Parrot who have just about to release three new products! The CK3100, CK3300 and CK3500 , these WILL ( so i am told) be compatible with the E200 phone, regrading syncing of phone books and bluetooth and it has been tested by Orange in France. All three units sync will the E200 and you select the name ( and other functions) using a knob on a small backlit contol panel. As you select things the system talks to you thorugh the car speakers ( and now via the OEM car amp, which the older units did not support) so you can always keep your eyes on the road. It also support voice dialing. I connected my E200 to the system and all connected fine, although they did say they had to finish some software to allow phone sync. This would be finished within 2 weeks. They certinly did look very good and it seems to address the issues the previous system had. The system can be firmware updated via any bluetooth enabled laptop or pc so no additional cables are required. The first model is the basic system CK3100 with control panel, radio mute full handsfree, the second CK3300 builds on this and has a GPS receiver in it ( not sure if this works with smartphones?) and the CK3500 which is designed for incar business applications ( sales force CRM etc ). All the systems are bluetooth and have been designed to allow you to put the phone in the glovebox and forget about it. The only downside is the battery life of smartphones isn't too hot so you may have to get a car charger which kind of defects the 'wirefree-ness' but i'm sure we can live with it... :)

Guest markd66 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 If you haven't already found it, there's a PDF with some more more info on the new kits here These are just what I've been looking for :) Does anyone know how many user profiles they support? There's a N**** kit (610) that looks similar to the CK3100 (it's about £100 more but it does have the buttons as a separate unit to the LCD, which might work better for some) Cheers, Mark
