Guest Stomski Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 Using ActiveSync you can edit the layout of your Windows Mobile smartphone by going to /ipsm/windows/start menu. Good I thought, but it seems as though some start menu shortcut icons have to be found in their default locations for the icons to work in the 'recent programs' list on the home screen and, more surprisingly, Motorola's Task Manager software. Two questions: 1. How can you edit the locations that the above apps look for their icons/shortcuts (is it in the registry?) 2. Does anybody have the default start menu directory listing (just the accessories directory will do!) as I want to restore it to the default without doing a hard reset. I have an mpx200 on Orange (UK) btw, but any will do. Many Thanks, Stom.

Guest Stomski Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 Thanks. Sorry for not searching the boards properly before posting.
