Upgrading E200 to UK ROM

Hello everyone I have tryed updating te E200 to the new UK ROM and it sais that the versions are incompatible but it works fine with the french ROM. Does anyone know how to put the UK ROM on instead of the french one. I remember when ppl couldn't change from the unoficial ROM it was somehow fixed but I dont remember how. Could someone please help and tell me how to piut the UK ROM on. PLease someone hel pI dont want a French ROM on my phone..

Did you read the MoDaCo warnings when the French ROM was released. It's now getting harder and harder putting different ROMs on phones. I think you'll have to dig out the old SPV 1.6 threads and do some experimenting yourself.

Here may be a good way to break your phone...so try at your own risk.

Install a ROM image that you know will install. After it's done erasing the rom...take it off of the cradle. Your phone should be rendered useless.

Put it in canary mode and run the UK Update. It should say upgrading from to 2.6.1.3 instead of from the existing ROM number to the new one.

The reason I am saying this is because my PC crashed while installing the update and I had to do it again from the canary screen because the image was wiped clear.

Like I said... wont guarantee it will work, nor do I think it's a really great idea as your phone may be rendered useless.
