Guest elzed Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 Anyone know how to do a hard reset on the xphone?
Guest Will Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 in exactly the same way as on the orange spv/ e100/e200, hold the camera button (top button on the side) and press power button. then choose option 8 (erase ipsm, x-storage or some other option). and allow it to say 'passed'. I believe there are some applications that are installed in the xphone, and NOT stored in the ROM, therefore you might loose some apps! Will
Guest elzed Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 Thanks Will, I've been trying this procedure but I never get to the point where there is a menu to select option 8. I press the camera button on the side, power up, press the action button for 2, 10, 30 seconds, whatever but it just sits on the three color banded screen...never giving me a menu... have you seen that before? The reason I need to reset is because the phone is stuck in flight mode. any other way out of that that you know of?
Guest spockie Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 You have to do it fairly quickly before you reach the 3 colour screen when you boot up using the rec/power button, you'll see :press any key to continue", that's where you press n hold down the action key
