Guest South Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Hi, Don't often post as for my limited messing about with the phone other peoples questions and solutions far out-strip anything I ever try to do! However my question is thus -and to be honest I'm embarrased to ask! I'd like to put some custom ringtones on the phone so I can use them for specific contacts. I've downloaded and am happy using the Jeyo-Personaliser tool - this picks up ringtones off my SD Card for general ringtones, SMS tones etc. but can't be used for individual contacts. I've read lots of posts about people removing the in-call photo thing to free up some memory on the phone but I don't know how to do this. Every time I try I get an application in use, or read-only type error message. I don't seem to be able to store any additional ringtones on my phone as I always get a 'not enough space' error in Windows when I'm doing the file transfer. Is removing the In-Call photo app. going to solve this? Am I barking up completely the wrong tree? Any help is much appreciated. (I have tried searching the forums for an answer but to no avail!). Many Thanks, Andy.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 First of all what phone do you have? To remove the caller ID app go to SettingsRemove Programs You should be able to uninstall it from there. Your problem sounds like you may have too many ringtones on the phone as removing the caller app will not free up the phone's memory much. Other things you can try is to clear out some SMS amd emails on the phone especially the contents of the MAPI folder as this contains all sent SMS and emails.
