RJShortcut: Any way to link to a sound file?

Howdy.. I have an odd question and all of my searches thus far have been fruitless.

I have an MPx200 and here is what I'm trying to do..

I want to have an icon (several, actually) on the RJShortcut iconbar point to .wav files.

I've tried WMPlayer (doesn't work) and didn't want to use it (especially since it utterly refuses to work) because it takes too damned long to load.

When using the File Manager program it's possible to click on a .wav file and have it play as an "alert" - and it's really quick to load.. I've checked File Manager "Properties" dialog and it does not tell me which .exe file is playing the sound, though.

Does anyone know if there is a .lnk or .exe file for the "alert" sound player? ..if not, does anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance.

Ron.

Just set the shortcut target to the wav file and the plugin will autmatically play it just like file explorer. You'll have to supply your own icon though.

I have only one word.. DUH!

Sorry for the post, but thanks for the quick response RemyJ.. and thanks for the software!

I swear I tried that. I swear I did. Honest.

I must have muffed up the directory in the shortcut.. 'cause it works great now.

Thanks again.

Ron.
