Guest markandspencer Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 can't seem to perform a hard reset on my MPx200. the action button is the big blue one, right? Contacted orange about being stuck on hellomoto screen they offered me a Nokia 6600! asked to speak to someone in the complaints department because a nokia 6600 is nowhere near a suitable replacement for the MPx200, based on the fact that it only plays .rm files and doesn't connect to a pc unless you buy an infrared thingy. Told me that orange (a telecommunications company) does not accept complaints over the phone! Write to us and we should reply within 7 days, they said - so that's me unable to make or recieve calls until further notice. I'm completely unable to speak to any of my family or friends, as well as uncontactable by potential employers ( I am looking for a job at the moment). Orange have a terrible attitude towards their customers and judging by this site I think going to BBC watchdog is a very good idea. reply to this thread if you are with me.....
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 can't seem to perform a http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset on my MPx200. the action button is the big blue one, right? Welcome to the site :) Yep the action button is the blue one. power off the phone, press and hold the action button then power up the phone. Once the phone starts to power up release the action button and you should be presented with the reset option screen.
Guest robw987654 Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 I had this problem about a week ago. I found that I had to keep trying to eventually get the hard reset option. Take out the battery to clear the lock up and revert to 'off'. Power up with the on/off and as soon as it starts to switch on press and hold both silver power and blue action buttons. Eventually you should (I did) get the 'hard reset' y or n options. Hope this helps.
Guest TANKERx Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 I found that the catalyst to get this to work was to start the Hard Reset without the power cable in. Once I got the prompt, I inserted it and I got my Hard Reset.
