Guest cclboss Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Tried using the PhotoID program that comes with my 8390 but found that it doesn't seem to recognize the called ID even though the operating system does. The smartphone actually shows a flash of the matched contact name but the PhotoID program takes over and only displays the generic PhotoID template and not the assigned photo. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, any fixes? I also tried to look for any upgrades to this program but don't know where to find the third party that produces this.
Guest kamikaze168 Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Do you have the same contact in 2 places...meaning in your outlook contacts and on the sim card? I have mine like that and I had to place the picture in both places in order for it to show up when the person called.
Guest cclboss Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 I'll give that a try but I have already selected not to include SIM contacts.
Guest cclboss Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Tried assigning photo to both contacts and SIM but still it doesn't work, the generic template still comes out instead. Any ideas?
Guest Zim Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 That strange, works a charm on mine. though it may not work if u have entered the contact's number with and spaces or -. if u have then the photo id app cant find a match and shows the defualt template.. that could be the problem "Z" btw: cclboss no need to start two posts on the same topic. one is enough.
Guest the bishop Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 no Zim - I have spaces, dashes and the like, only have contacts on the phone (removed from sim card) and caller id/name works like a champ. odd. how do i check version of my software?
