Guest lutzh Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 hi there, thanks to xbar it is possible to do some nice automatics with the e200, e.g. i use xbar task scheduler and bluetooth toggler to enable/disable bluetooth for the hours when i am in the car (have a bt free speech set) automatically between 9 and 11 am and 6 and 9 pm. also i have runnning a auto closing app that turns down all running applications automatically at 6 am, so i have a fresh phone in the morning. what i also want is: when i am at home i place my phone somewhere in my house using the loudest possible profile to really find the phone when it rings. now when i leave it at the desk in my office, my colleagues get close to a heart attack by my loud profile ringtone. i would really like to use xbar to schedule profile switching to somewhat less noisy doing my office hours. but how can i set this up? how can xbar access profiles and switch them to silent between 9 and 6 and back to loud between 6 and 9? or is there any way to write an application - just like the bluetooth toggler that toggles the profiles? i know i can use my calendar to somehow fake it by setting my profile to automatic but thats not a very smart solution then when i have to spam my outlook calendar just to get a silent e200 during the day.... i am thankful for ANY feedback since this would make the smartphone even smarter for me (and my colleagues). cheerio, lutz
Guest looeee Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 have you looked at the "automatic" profile? if you are busy in outlook then is switches to silent, otherwise it uses normal looeee
Guest lutzh Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 hi looeee thank you for the feedback. i know i can use my calendar to somehow fake it by setting my profile to automatic but thats not a very smart solution then when i have to spam my outlook calendar just to get a silent e200 during the day.... as you can see i have. but thats not very useful since i dont have appointments in my calendar every day. i want something smarter... cheers, lutz
Guest ferret Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Can the xBar task schedular emulate key presses? I don't use the task schedular side myself, but I remember reading something about macros.
Guest lutzh Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 hi ferret, you are right but i can't bring it to work with simulated key presses. any other idea around here? cheers, lutz
Guest kjk Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 have you tried to make a task schedule to setting.exe and run a xmacro right after(at same time) to emulate key pressing to active a profile  on my qtek ex. run task to setting.exe xmacro to press key 3 , 1 , and done to activate profile normal
Guest kjk Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 @lutzh take a look here http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=106902
Guest fraser Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 An app to schedule profile changes would be welcomed by most office workers I'm sure!! I'm fed up having to remember to silence it for the office then missing calls that evening having not switched it back...
Guest lutzh Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 ...haven't heard from mrmagoo - not here and not on pn. seems like he moved over to symbian... cheers, lutz
