I dont know if this is possible but heres what i'm trying to do.

I've got my Bluetooth Dongle at work with me adn installed ActiveSync, I forgot to bring the cradle.

Is it possible to setup active sync to use the BT connection or do I need it connected to the cradle in the first instance???

NE help would be great

I dont think so.

Look at the Bluetooth services on ur PC and find out at what COM port 'BT Serial port'. Then Change Active Sync Connection settings to search for a connection at this COM port.

Then on ur phone, Go to Configurations>>BT SerialPortSetup and enable the ports (I am not sure if this is required, but done it anyway)

Open activesync on the phone and Menu >> Connect via Bluetooth..

And presto.. u'll find that u have to give it another couple of try's before it connects ;-) !!

Yea think your right cant be done... cause as soon as I click conenciton settiins on ActiveSync it comes up witht eh searchign for devices.

When I connect to teh serial port it shows availble but still doesnt connect.

Guess i'll just have to wait till 2morro when I bring the cradle in
