Guest biffob2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 hi guys Help for the newbie. Have just purchases 128mb kingsmax sd ram. The spv will not recognise it at all. I have a 8Mb that works fine so its not the port. The new ram does not have any write protect switch on it could this be an issue? If so are there any work arounds to stop the spv from checking if the media is wite proected or not. Or am i just being stupid and require some sort of format util too get it recognised. Pcs are easy but phones are a whole new ball game! Any help world be greatly appreciated
Guest squishedfly Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 Sometimes, on the side of the SD card, there is a switch. Make sure it is in the unlocked position. If that doesnt work, it might not be compatible with ur phone.
Guest nvkid909 Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 hmmm, do you have a card reader for it? these are very cheap & let you work on the card outside of the phone. other than that, er, new card?
Guest Vector Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 biffob2004, Welcome to ths site! Make sure the phone is charged as when the battery gets low it cuts off the SD Card slot to preserve power... But i do recommend getting a bigger card, you won't regret it one bit, the bigger the better, i have made the transition from 128mb to 256mb, and now i have 512mb, and it rocks :)
Guest mad_daddy Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 check these posts here and here Appartently the card you have is fiddly, you have to keep taking out and reinserting the card for it to work on the phone. My advise is to get Sandisk, works great and 100% of the time. Got a 256mb and 512mb and both work great.
Guest mikkeka Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Try to use the SD card in another device, not necessarily a 7070. If it doesn't work there either it obviously something wrong with the card
