SD card slot problem

I have a big problem. I took the SD card out, and when I try to re-insert it, it won't stay in!!! It clicks, but then just pops back out.

I've been back to the orange shop and they haven't had any new stock in to give me a replacement. It's been nearly 2 weeks now.

I'm a bit annoyed by this.

Any help or tips greatly appreciated!

thanks!

This is the 2nd time of heard of this happening, not very encouraging for the long term prospect of this locking mechanism is is?

just a query, when you removed it, did you press it in, so it 'jumped' out. or did you pull it out?

Just wondering if this is a design flaw, or another case of a lack of info on HOW to remove the card?

I had no idea how to get it out, I just pulled it. I take it this is wrong.......

I had the same problem, I was just pulling and pushing. Until I dropped the phone one day, and hey presto, the spring loaded locking mechanism in the slot activated itself, and now works fine. Not that I'd recommend doing that..............................

I had exactly the same problem. The SD went in but wudnt click in place. And once it was in, i had to use a pin to pull it out.

Couple of days back, i tried to use my brother's MMC from his Siemens SL45 to c if the MP3s worked...they sure did and this time the MMC LOCKED into place and ever since my Orange SD is also locking into place and coming out with ease.

:( :D :(

I don't have another SD or MMC card to try that, bit of a shame.

But the SPV can look out when I've got time to play around with it...

OMG  u find something new every day  .

I've been pulling my cards out with my nail, obviously not pushing it in until it clicks. Still worked though. Just tried to push it in a little further and it clicked, then pushed it again and voila it sprang out, first time it's done that 8)

Cheers, Shire
