E100 Memory Leaking??

Over the weekend I installed an updated version of Traffic Counter SPE and finally decided to install the trial of SMARTFilter.

Ever since then I've noticed the performance of my E100 is getting worse. On closer inspection using SP Task Manager that the Free physical memory is slowly reducing.

After a reboot I have 6.58MB free with only Inbox, Contacts, & Programs loaded. After 2 hours this has dropped to 5.19MB - and all the phone is doing is sitting here on charge! After 24 hours I have only 1.01MB free and at this point the phone is unusable.

I'm running ROM 1.6.1.10 on Orange UK.

Has anyone else seen any problems similar to this with the apps mentioned above? It's starting to get on my nerves!!! :x

i have the same thing, i tend to have to restart the phone now and then anyway...i also have a friend who has the same problme on his e200

Which apps do you both have installed?

It would be good to find the source of the problem if we can and try to get a resolution.

I have the same problem as well, on e100; I have installed: agile messenger, SMART explorer, IMeter.. but this happens even the apps are not runing. As explained now and then I must restart the phone.

I have imeter and xbar2 plus a bunch of other things, but its most likely due to either of those 2 because they are the only programs that stay in memory. My friend with the e200 has xbar2 but not imeter. Its possible its not due to anything thats been installed it might be something else. It would be useful if anyone else could post if they have this problem. Its hard to spot if you reset everyday or so (which i do, so its not really much of a problem for me).

a friends mpx200 also has this problem. there is nothing showing in the task manager. he only has a couple of programs like the task manager, explorer, pocketMVP. think thats it.

never did notice that thingy on my SAP (E100) even when i'm using xbar1 alongside chatting via Agile Messenger and browsing through PIE...

Decided to bite the bullet and get rid of SmartFilter and Traffic Counter for a while. And guess what! The free memory still goes down very slowly but not half as quick as it was with these two memory resident apps installed.

Now all I am running is Xbar2.

What roms are ya all using? is this Orange 1.6 ??? im currently using this rom and find no problem in here... my apps are File Explorer, Regedit, Task Manager, IA Album and some games....

Ill try and check if it does have a leak.. :shock: :D
