Guest mon_nom_est_arnaud Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 Hi m8s !! I'd like to know if it's possible to create a start menu shortcut to a folder on my SDCard. I mean I've got a 'my music' folder on my SD, I'd like to create a shortcut to this folder in my start menu. This way, I would be able (if it's possible of course) to browse my 'my music' folder directly form my start menu, exactly as I had a sub-folder in my start menu called 'my music' How can I do that ? thx
Guest martin Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 I'm not sure if you can do that. You may be able to access the files indirectly though. 1 Create a folder in Startmenu as normal. 2 Create shortcuts to all your SD files 3 Copy all shortcuts to the Startmenu folder. Although it's probably not what you are looking for. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 ...or you can use RESCO File Explorer. Assign the folder as one of your 'Favorites', disable 'Show Tree View' then enable 'Remember last opened folder' in Resco (Menu-Options-General) Put RESCO Explorer 2003.lnk in your homescrn StartMRU. This way, you have access and may open (indirectly) a folder in your Storage Card from your StartMRU. Search the Articles Section for detailed instructions regarding this trick. Guest mcwarre Posted April 2, 2004 Report Posted April 2, 2004 Absolute tosh! It is sooo easy I am surprised that you haven't mentioned it! Suppose you have smartphonestorage cardmp3. Using explorer navigate to folder smartphonestorage card right click and copy the folder mp3. Goto smartphoneIPSMWindowsstart menu right click and select 'paste shortcut'. You will have a folder called 'shortcut to mp3' rename to mp3. Open it and it will access the mp3 folder on the storage card. Basics really!!!
