Guest A.Hughes Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 I had an email from one of the Directors at Bitstream announcing the official end user launch of Thunderhawk web browser, its free for thirty days and is for the time being the final version. For those interested it does now work on the E200, a tad slow (it was on my phone when i launched and browsed) the trial is the same as the registered version and the details can be found here as well as a 30 day trial download. www.bitstream.com/wireless/smartphone/download_cab.html?agreed=1&returnto=%3C%25%3D+returnto+%25%3E On first impression it does seem a bit basic, you either have full screen or split screen, crosshair moves you round the full page to make your selection. Would be interested in finding out what other forum members think.
Guest Palindrome Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Is there any way of testing the app without having to subscrible to anything? I'm warey of giving out personal information just to look at the program. Fine, I'll give out my email address, but I think my telephone number is pushing it.
Guest A.Hughes Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 The 30 day trial means you have to register an account, i think the reason for this is if you decide you like and want to subscribe monthly your details are already loaded. The info you provide to suscribe for the 30 day trail is secure and confidential, if Bitstream use or send to anyone else without your prior permission, they are in deep doo doo. Its upto you, as far as i am concerned its safe enough, beyond the trail period, i dont know yet whether i will actually subscribe or not. Hope this calms your fears :)
Guest abatis Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 This is a great Smartphone software/service in my opinion. Until 2003 is available for the MPX200 I don't know another way to get to and use a frames site. This is the only way i can get to the web version of my companies email. What is nice is that most of the computing work is done on their servers that you subsidize with your fee. I am a paying customer and quite pleased.
