Battery since update

I know it's been mentioned by a few people, but I have only just noticed how bad my battery has become. My battery is absolutely f*****g useless since updating. I 've tried leaving the sd card out altogether as some people are sugesting some cards drain the battery more than others but it made no difference. I can honestly say my phone has never lasted 24 hours, now I'm lucky if it is lasting 18.

i'd suggest doing a "Clear Storage" (in accessories folder in start menu) or redoing the update and then doing a Clear Storage straight after :)

I am sorry, but I have to contradict you.

My battery is lasting a lot longer.

My problem is that the call quality has got worse.

The battery life issue is my biggest bug bare of the e200. i traded by old spv in for an e200 as it was the only phone with all the functions i wanted and most i needed. the camera built in was a bonus. i was lucky to get 24 hours battery life out of the original e200 i purchased in december03. i returned the phone and was given a new battery. this did not cure the poor battery life. They then replaced the phone completely. still 24 hours was as much as i could get. i tried the memory card trick but it had no effect. went back to the orange shop and they told me to talk to microsoft, this was rubbish as our contracts are with orange. talked to trading standards and they told me to tell orange that if they did not sort it then i would deem them in breach of contract as the phone was not performing as they stated at the time of 110 hours standby time. If you are not happy you can claim your money back....terminate the contract and sue for damages because the phone is "not fit for purpose" after being refused 3 times another replacement they have just replaced the phone for a 2nd time. If this is no better then i will go for a different phone altogether which they cannot refuse now or i will sue them. If we dont do something like this they will just sell more rubbish products.

dont get me wrong when the battery is fully charged the phone works great and has a shed load of great stuff on it. If they dont sort it this time then i will never use orange again and i never want to see an e200 again. will get a sony sp900 instead which does all the stuff i want from my e200 but lasts 10 days on standby! guaranteed which is better than the 24 hours i get from my e200!
