Sorry for less involvement guys - my XDA2 had me busy...

As the title says, I post a bit less often on here now than I used to.

That's because, as some of you may know, I got an O2 XDA2 a week and a half ago.

It was quick, free, and easy to unlock it to Orange, and I managed to be one of the first to get it FULLY set up to run with my Orange SIM.

Yesterday, O2 Uk released the first ROM update for the device, much like our own E200 update recently.

Thus far however, whilst the XDA2 upgrade has not resolved ALL of the issues known, it HAS however, fixed most of them, and WITHOUT introducing ANY new issues.

I'm not ever normally an O2 lover, hence why I use my Orange SIM, but contrast that to the update from Orange, that has fixed hardly any of the less serious type issue reported, and introduced a lot of NEW big problems into the bargain.

So, as I still use my E200 at weekends when I am Bouncing, I will always still post, and keep up to date.

But alas, one thing the E200 DID achieve was to get me hooked on the REAL SmartPhone platform from MS (did I really just say that), and thus my desire to obtain the XDA2.

Which I love very much folks.

So, catch you soon, and I'll be around as much as I can.

Now Paul (MVP), about that SD wi-fi card you have for sale... When you gonna drop the price just a tiny fraction more so I can afford it?

I do envy you shademehr, would love an XDA2 (or even better an unbadged XDA2: the HTC Himilaya) but can't afford it.

Out of curiousity how much did it set you back?

D'oh. Ok, to rephrase the question, where can I get a free XDA2 and under what terms?!

I thought he meant it was quick, free and easy to unlock. Not it was quick. It was free, and it was easy to unlock!

Anyhoo

Where did you get it?

I'm thinking of getting a Treo 600 and/or an XDAII next

I went to Onestopphoneshop.co.uk - you might have to wait, but they WERE the cheapest.

It WAS £119.99 on a £30 a month tariff - O2 200 with 50 SMS a month.

They've only gone and increased the price now to £139.99 BUT, the deal on that tariff is now doubled for 4 months, so some 400 any time any net minutes, and 100 SMS a month for four months.

On O2 you can then tariff change without penalty down to the lowest tariff, after 4 months too anyway.

So this is still probably the very cheapest way you will ever get to own an XDA2.
