GPRS in Dubai - Unable to Place Call

I think have a problem with the GPRS settings on my smartphone 2. :roll:

I am in Dubai so, unless there are any other users over here I won't bother going through the local settings etc. I recently had GPRS added to my mobile account but whenever I try to access my emails via the POP3 account the unit trys to connect then after a while i get a message "Error - Unable to place call"

Has anybody else experienced this? Does it sound like a phone hardware problem, a software problem, a Simm problem or a settings problem?

Any advise would help me solve the problem or target my fustration at the right people. As we don't have contract phones over here I have bought the phone and then get a simm separately. It means that when there is a problem you have to direct your wrath at the right poeple or be sent on a goose chase. :twisted:

Have you checked the the network selection in the E-mail setup ?
