I would like to give special thanks here to Daffy who has provided me with some excellent help in troubleshooting some problems.

However I do not wish to overload him with some continuous problems I still have so I am posting here looking for extra help.

This morning I amazed myself and upgraded from a very old OS upto the Qtek v1.50.9.1 as oulined in the How To section.

Now I am trying to go from that upto QTek 8080 referred to in this thread but:

The installer program goes through (as this morning) stage 1 to delete the software on the phone, stage 2 to install new software. PC installer scanned my phoned then started stage 1 (which should take 10 minutes) but in the blink of an eye then started stage 2. Hung there for 60 seconds at 0% then installer came up with Error 113 Update Error, telling me to disconnect the phone, switch it off and on and try again.

I have done this four times now: anybody know what the problem is and more importantly how to fix it???

Try this lot might help:

Upgrade using just the cradle plugged into the USB port nothing else on any of the other usb ports.

Reboot the PC and try again.

Run regedit on the PC and seach for anything with Qtek in it and remove it.

If all that fails try and run it on a diffrent PC.

Thats all I can think of at this time.

Good luck and remember as long as you can get to the bootloader screen the phone can be saved with the help of others on here, which sometimes seems a bit slow in coming.
