Guest theonlyrick Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Hi all, I just got the SPV E200 (with ROM upgrade) – Me likey! It came with an Orange SD card that had some apps on it. I want to install them, but I want to install them on a 128Mb MMC I have. (I don’t want to install them on a card I won’t use very often. So far, it looks like I *can’t* just copy the install files over to the MMC, and install them from there, I’m being told I need a Digital Certificate. 1 - Are E200s re-certed after installing the ROM upgrade? 2 – Is this causing the problem for me not being able to copy the install files onto a larger card, and then installing the apps themselves onto that card? Any advice? Cheers, Richard
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Welcome to the site :D 1, Yes 2, You should be able to copy the entire card over to the PC and then back onto the new card.
Guest theonlyrick Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Cheers for your reply! I'll give it a go, but I think I might have a bit of a duff MMC... I've got a USB card writer that won't write to that card, and when moving stuff between phone memory and my desktop, it's quite sloooow, and very unreliable. It's a prob though, having 128Mb which can be used to store all sorts of goodies, but if you want to actually be able to access them, you can wave good-bye to your battery life! Cheers, Richard
