USB-connected phone wakes up computer

if i put my computer in sleep mode with my phone in its USB cradle, a few minutes later it wakes up. if i unplug the USB cable, this problem goes away.

has anyone else seen this problem and have a fix for it? i mean, other than pulling out the cable. :D

you could deselect the allow sync option in active sync.

You could have a snoop around the power options within device manager to see if the device is allowed to bring the computer out of standby mode.

Or if you're using XP, I tend to hibernate instead.
