Guest jbrare Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Hi all, Ne1 had this on an E200, The "down" and "Left" operation of the joystick just totally does what it wants! Most of the time choosing not to respond at all even though you can hear the tone indicating a key press. It only happens on the homescreen, inside menus and programs it's fine. Im using the standard Orange homescreen. Had to reset the phone, which cleared it up, it was so weird though, never seen it act like that before, and it's acted weird in it's time I can tell you!!??!! Could it be hardware even though the key tone can still be heard? Cheers JB
Guest shadamehr Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 My down and left movements have gone awry - but i suspect its hardware related to a worn in joystick. it now seems too 'loose'. Even a carefull practiced down press sometimes results in a left press instead now. It drives me mad.
Guest cougal96 Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Mine too!! but i have a E100, i think its a known problem with spv!
Guest yoos Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I have this problem with my IMate Voyager. I am in menus and try to go up/down but it goes left/right. I was thinking it was just due to me still getting used to the phone, but it's been a few weeks now and the problem seems to go away when I turn off/on my phone???? Weird.... :? :D
Guest smith2001 Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 i had this problem too, got a new 1 from orange care, shame cos my new 1 is doing it now :D
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 My joystick has become a lot less responsive of late. You really need to push it in the direction you want it to go. I've got Orange care, but they'll charge me £15 to sort it, which is a f'in joke! I'm going to wait untill it's really damaged before I give orange any more money.
