Guest chrishoo5 Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 i skinned my media player... it was looking sweet... and i changed that nasty 'smartphone 2002' screen... wicked.. but on reboot they go back to how they were.. is there any way to perm change them.. or shall i just never turn my phone off?!
Guest chewie Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 No way i'm affraid, unless someone can come up with a script that copies the files over from the SD card at startup!
Guest Will Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 i think i might have an idea, but i have no skins. can someone send me one, i'll test and report back!! Will
Guest chewie Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 ^ http://www.lol.dk/spv/mediaplayer-advanced.zip needs to go into the windows folder. But not the windows folder under IPSM!
Guest Will Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 no joy here's my idea, for anyone who may know a way around it. add a link to the .skn file, to favourites. (i was hoping for a 'download' dialog  ) but ie just displays the info. (it may be in a temp file now, and that may be useable). i guess when all explorer allows copy paste this will be easier! Will
Guest madu Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 It allows cut+paste, but you cannot select the files you want, I think it's either 1 or All... BTW: I don't see the difference between AllExplorer on Orange SD card and the one they sell for money, anyone? Also investigate into Orange autorun.exe file - maybe that could be edited somehow to update that skin on memcard insert?? Like orange tools tun when u stick the card in..
Guest Will Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 obviously autorun on the card is signed/certified. if you edit the files (hexedit) will the signing fail? or can we just hijack any signed apps to suit needs? Will
Guest muude Posted December 19, 2002 Report Posted December 19, 2002 I have saved the files for the advanced skin on my MMC card, so when I reboot, I just use All - Explorer to copy and paste them 1 at a time.... It doesn't take that long, and it's handy if I'm not at home....
