Guest tcwatkins Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 What we really need for the smartphone is a MS Reader clone for locked (DRM) LIT files. Or Adobe Reader files. Something which will let you read book files purchased from Amazon or whatever. Yes, I know of the conversion program but this seems like such an obvious program, I'm amazed it's not out there. Any volunteers?
Guest jimbou Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 what is the conversion program that you are talking about?
Guest tcwatkins Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 A program called CLit.exe. It removes the DRM protection on LIT files. There's controversy over whether doing so is legal. If there was a smartphone reader for DRM5 files, it wouldn't be needed by smartphone owners.
