Guest Pagemakers Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Out of the blue my phone's action button has suddenly become occasionally unresponsive. Sometimes the action key has to be pressed or moved several times to get a response. Soft reboot makes no difference. Any ideas why this should suddenly happen for no reason? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest squall Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 guess would be grit/ dust etc getting into the switch stopping contact. Id contact O for a warranty replacement.
Guest jason76 Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 mines gone slower since the update
Guest Pulse Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 mines gone slower since the update  Hardware or software? If it's software, try the menu speed tweak from custom cabbage.
Guest MadElves Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Try checking your space.. as a rule of thumb... there should be a minimum of 10% space leftover from the Internal Memory ... Probly you have the phone very full
Guest Pagemakers Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 I have done nothing and then out of the blue it is working normally again! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest MadElves Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 I have done nothing and then out of the blue it is working normally again! Posted from my SmartPhone! Try having it checked.... play around w/ it tho .. if nothing's wrong then it probably just a simple 'glitch'
Guest yoos Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 My action button messes up all thee time:( It's REALLY annoying... Usually the problem is when I try to move it down it does an action (like when you press in) instead. Rebooting the phone seems to fix it for me for a while.
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 It's just started happening to me now  I have to press really hard to get a response from the joystick in some directions (usually right or down or action) and the response can seem slow. Am I right in thinking a hard reset won't cure it and that it's more likely to be grit or something sticky getting onto the contacts ? Pagemakers : how long before you got normal service again ?
Guest Pagemakers Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I went on holiday and when I got back it was fine. I have no idea what caused it but it's fine now.
Guest MadElves Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 The dial pad is somewhat clumsy yes mine too has some 'glitch' and i accidentally often presses other directions. But i do think it's something integrated Perhaps there's too much program running on the BG??? sometimes mine does that when there's too much program running
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 It's got nothing to do with progs running in the background because a restart doesn't fix it. Mine's quite a bit better this morning so I'm thinking it's simply dirt / liquid under the cover
