Guest Will Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 should i edit the poll to refer to e200, as i'm still waiting for an spv3::D anyhow Will
Guest Toyota-F1.com Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 How come? In the very early days I was convincing myself even ont this board that I would upgrade, but mine is absolutely fine how it is even the battery life (even though I'd like it impproved) see my thread "battery report" for information about the battery life issue.
Guest Vector Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I have upgraded purely because i couldn't stand the battery life any more. The SD Card lockup problem is the biggest problem with the update for me...
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 After reading the thirty odd pages devoted to the upgrade in the news section, I have put my E200 away and have reverted to my original SPV. I think I will wait for O to address the issues contained within this current 'upgrade'...

I think I will wait for O to address the issues contained within this current 'upgrade'... Really? Wow, pretty drastic. I used my old classic SPV today and there WAS nostalgia but I also couldn't help notice how slow it was compared to my E200. As for the problems post update, the only problem I've had is the (very) occasional lock-up which is instantly solved by removing and re-entering the SD card. I'm currently playing 'Beneath A Steel Sky' on Pocket Scumm and have to say that the E200 rocks. My only real gripe now is the battery life.
Guest kevlar Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 My biggest problem post update is the loss of bluetooth connection to my headset. I don't know how it's doing it, but the e200 is managing to make my plantronics M3000 turn itself off. I am not the only one who this is happening to either. I suppose it's making the headset crash!. I currently get about 16 hours out of my E200 battery with no usage at all before the low battery alarm starts. Information posted since the release of the update indicates both a slight increase in battery performance or degradation, depending on which post you are reading. Of course, there are the other issues as well, already discussed. The E200 is now on gardening leave until O get their you-know-what together. What a shame.
Guest Pondrew Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Well, even those of us lucky enough to only have minor issues will welcome any improvements down the line. Here's hoping...
