O2 Xphone Fonts and Network

Just received the xphone (HK edition) to replace mpx200 and have questions:

I'm in US, Ca on Tmobile but network says Cingular and even searching for a new network doesn't return Tmobile, any ideas? I can make calls fine and vmail seems to work.

All text is in white instead of bolder black text fonts like the mpx200. There seems to be no setting for that or font size unlike the mpx200 with smartphone 2002. Did I miss something?

I don't have the manual with me but you can try reset the phone to factory setting?

It is probably a hard coded setting in the HK ROM. I had the same issue on an original SPV. If I used The Orange 1.61 ROM image it correctly reported TMobile as my carrier, if I used the I-Mate 1.5x ROM then it was reported as Voicestream. If it is bugging you that much, try the new Qtek 8080 Rom image, that is whatt your phone is in reality. I am using it in place of the O2 ROM & it reports my carrier correctly.
