Guest crafty Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Hi there, i've been using kl1wdr's excellent MSN-2 skin lately but didn't like the way it handled missed calls. To solve this i've modified it to include a full screen missed call page, as in the screen shots below, and thought i'd share this. The homescreen comes with 8 different backdrops (called kl1wdr-MSN.jpg to kl1wdr-MSN-7.jpg) and i've done missed-call background images for each of them but you will have to edit the xml to reflect this. As is, the xml is set up for for using the MSN-2 backround, to use a different one you will need to edit the xml to the appropriate filename of the backround image (bgimage) in the missed call plugin: <plugin clsid="{0BA8ABB8-1F1D-417f-88C6-DA8530E2E7A6}" name="missedcalls" height="200"> <background> <format state="selected" bgimage="IPSMApplication DataHomekl1wdr-MSN-2-Missed Call.jpg" valign="top"/> </background> <label name="nocall" visible="true" x="30" y="70" width="100%" font-size="24"> <text><calls/> Missed Calls</text> </label> </plugin>[/code] Despite the backdrop - this should worrk on both WM2002 and 2003.kl1wdr-MSN-2mod.zipMSN-2+Missed Call Screen.gif
Guest MPXtricky Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Being a mainframe dinosaur I know naff all about XML. Is there any way of coding some IF THEN ELSE logic that will display a different screen depending on how many calls you've missed? e.g MISSED CALL when there is only one and MISSED CALLS when there are more than one Any takers?
