E200 phone, but Krusell E100 or E200 case?

Hi guys.

I have got an E200, and I am pleased with it. However, like alot of people I dont want to scratch it up.

I have read the comprehensive review of the Krusell case here. My only withdraws about getting the E200 case is that the camera flap on the back looks quite large and cumbersome compared to the E100 equivalent, Pictured here.

My question is does the extra camera flap on the E200 case make the case much larger or do people who own the case find it not too big? I am thinking about getting an E100 case and just having to take the phone out if I want to take pictures and video.

Im looking for people who have used the E200 in the Krusell E100 case, what did they think of it? And E200 users with the E200 case, what do you think of the design?

Kind Regards.

Pascoe,

Of course this is a *very* subjective question, but I can tell you this. I have an XPhone (same as your E200) with the E200 case. I'm a huge fan of the Krussell cases as their quality and build is excellent. The camera flap on the back is minimally noticeable in that it does add a bit of bulk to the phone, however not annoying enough to swap to a E100 case. Prior to this case I had a makeshift case as I didn't want to scratch up my new investment, much life yourself. I don't use the camera all that much, however it was a real pain since I had to remove the phone from the case in order to take pictures. I think the ease of camera use really wins over the slight size addition of the flap.

With that said, I always carry the phone in my pants pocket and it is NOT too big or cumbersome as long as you remove the "multidapt" clip. With the clip on, you'd better actually use it on belt otherwise it's really annoying in a pocket. Makes sense, right?

In conclusion, I'd go with the E200 case. It's worth the investment and definitely gets the job done...the camera flap almost becomes a non issue size-wise.

Just my $0.02! Good luck.

Thanks for your reply IronHide.

I to would be putting the phone in my pocket rather than using the clip, so your feedback is great! I didnt realise the clip on the case was detachable.

Anyone else had any experences with either case?

Pascoe

I have the Xphone as well and the belt clip is great for me and the leather is very good quality. But it took a few days for the leather to break in and after than there is no problem fitting the phone into the case.

I use the E200 in the E200 case and I really love it even though I rarely use the camera. It really doesn't add that much bulk and it's so convenient when you need the camera. I guess you've read that the fit on these cases is really really tight - it'd be a pain to have to undo it and slide the phone out every time you need to use the camera cos this isn't like an old phone case, the phone's meant to stay in it all the time.

I suppose the E100 case would be a bit slimmer but I have no problems carrying this around in my pocket and in terms of show-off ability nothing beats unpopping the camera flap and having that little camera peeking out of the hole in the case - there's something you wouldn't get with the E100 case!

Hi,

I have an E200 case and glad I waited, so I did'nt have to remove it from the case to use the camera. It fits into my pocket fine after removing the clip and does'nt feel too bulky. It is still less bulky than when I had my old SPV in a case because the clip could not be removed on that.

I would go for the E200 case.

How do you get the Multidapt clip off? I've chucked my packaging.

Hopefully someone knows the trick, but it took brute force to get mine off

There is a small hole in the centre of the clip, push a pen or pin into the hole and the clip will slide off easy. I didn't read the instructions because the clip was detached from the case when it came in the post so I had to put it on when I had it.

Hope this helps :D

Brute force did the trick - 10 rivet holes seemed to be the obstacle!

Cheers, :D
