Guest cookan Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 I have a first edition SPV and just noticed I can get a brand new one for free at Orange now.... I haven't been back to this site for a while now, so had a look and can see that E200's have been causing some real problems. Are these issues now resolved with the latest updates or are there still problems ? (any serious problems ?) Ant.
Guest squall Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 most of the problems (ie buzzing etc) seems to have been solved with the latest update, and the e200 has many more features, and a much higher build quality than the original spv. Thing you should consider is you you would rather wait for the new moto smartphone or the sagem smartphone, both of which are due for release in the next 3-6 months.
Guest atonks Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 most of the problems (ie buzzing etc) seems to have been solved with the latest update, ........... That's one point of view. I'd say get the phone but don't apply the update. The phone is much more useable without it.
Guest Palindrome Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Personally I had less problems with the update installed than not. It's sorted out that incredibly annoying buzzing, as Squall pointed out.
Guest cookan Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 cheers Guys, couldn't wait...went out and got one...appears to be working ! Slightly more slick than the old one and it at least lets me SMS my wifes 'car' phone now :-) upgraded ROM OK so far. Ant.
Guest lowbug Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Only problem with the new update is you need a hearing aid to use the phone now...
