Guest citycad Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Hi All, First off - great forum, found loads of useful stuff on here already ! Keep up the good work. OK, so heres my problem. I have an Orange SPV E200 which I recently upgraded the Operator ROM from the Orange site to version 2.6.1.3. Before I did this upgrade I could pick wma files from StorageApplication DataSounds for the alarm clock alert. (without having to do any registry hacks or anything, they were just included in the standard midi list) Ringtones are fine as it adds the audio files from the directory above to the standard list so can pick them fine. SMS alert tones working from midnights registry tweaks post, but can't find any info on changing the Alarm. :D ;) Can someone please help so I can have something decent to listen to when my alarm goes off for work every day !! Thanks Chris
Guest crafty Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 You need to edit the following registry key: HKCUControlPanelSoundsClock [Values] Sound In the "Value data" field enter the location of the file you want for your alarm, e.g. Storage CardMy DocumentsSoundsAlarm.wav Think it can be any wav, MIDI or WMA. Alternatively, if you don't want to muck around in the registry then you could try Jeyo Personaliser from here, but i'm not sure if that supports setting WMAs. Hope this helps.
Guest citycad Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 haha ! since I posted that I worked it out. converted the wma to a wav and hey presto - its now available for alarm sounds, and it appears in the list selection :D Cheers anyway
