Guest Jay247 Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Just out of interest, what is the function Detach GPRS in the quick menue used for? What's the difference between disconnecting and detaching? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Jay247 Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 ... and once I've detached GPRS, how do I get it back without switching my phone off? Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest zeta101 Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 if you disconnect gprs it will disconnect the connection obviously, but if you then open internet explorer or try to check mail it will redial the connection. If you detach gprs it switches it off completly and if u try and use the internet it wont work because it wont be able to dial up. And to reattach gprs i *think* you have to just go to the quickmenu again and select attach gprs, not sure though cos i dont have an e200 and this is just from seeing my mates e200
Guest Jay247 Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 I've tried it, once GPRS is detached, Internet Explorer will attempt a dial-up CSD connection (not sure if via WAP or not). Once GPRS is detached, the quick menu still shows "Detach GPRS" in the menu. Still not sure why we can detach it in the first place...
