Guest Richie M Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Welcome to the site :D Dunno why you posted this in Customisation Discussion :? Moved to Main
Guest Maverick Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Ur best bet is to look in ebay UK or US. I bought 1 off there.
Guest mcwarre Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Exactly as Maverick says. Make sure it is unlocked or that you have a paypal account to allow you to unlock on www.imei-check.co.uk
Guest MECX Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 if i was you id skip the E200 and get an MPX100 when they come out. :D
Guest drblow Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 I'd second that! The e200 has great features & all, but currently mine locks up 3/4 times per day, SDcard is unrecognised nearly every time I try to use it, active sync is switching itself off at random, the back key takes a huff sometimes & wont work, and of course, the battery needs charged every 12 hours. :x This is all post-update of course, before the update mostly the OS was fine & stable-ish, but the speaker buzzed like a chainsaw, which made it almost unusable as a phone. I've had 6 replacements (all for the buzzing speaker), and TBH if they offer me another one for the current problems I have alerted tech support about, I'll turn it down. I couldn't go back to a buzzing speaker again even with all the update issues. It's a frustrating piece of equipment is the e200 - you really WANT it to be good, and some features ARE good, & it's customisable to the extreme - but ultimately, it just has so many bugs that I become blinded to all the good stuff, and our highly esteemed network provider seems to be totally incapable of actually getting it to work properly. Well, in fact, they gave us an update, which they negelected to mention was actually an update to the amount of bugs on the phone!! I ask ye ... Apart from all that, hell yeah it's a brilliant phone, cutting edge, most advanced on the market ... :D
Guest ajb3000 Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 Or you could buy it from http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=108953, and it's in stock.
Guest mattscholey Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I agree - wait for a new Motorola. The E200 is full of bugs, you don't have to Search for long to find that out. Matt
Guest biffsmash Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Since update the only problem I have with my phone is crap sound on video recordings. The sound quality in calls has improved strangely since I first updated, I get no crashes as I make sure I activate the SD card before trying to access it, and activesync stays on now that I have updated to the new updated version from microsoft which fixes the issue. Although I have no real problems with my phone anymore, I would say wait for a motorolla mpx100 or 220 as well. Main reason for this for me is the camera which will be probably the first decent camera on smartphone, hopefully to compete with the better nokia cameras :D biffy
