Guest Disco Stu Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 You can't ! You have to convert them to .wav format. There are excellent guides on how to do this on the forum. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest crafty Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Hi there, the E200 supports WAVs, MIDIs and WMAs as ringtones/systemsounds. If you convert the sound to a wma (try dBpowerAMP) you should then be able to use them.
Guest pofika Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 well... thank you. i haven't pc.so i can not convert.maybe know you converter program, that run on my phone?Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest MPXtricky Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 well... thank you. i haven't pc.so i can not convert.maybe know you converter program, that run on my phone?Posted from my SmartPhone! No app currently available will do this. You need to find a friend with a PC and ask them . . . Oh go on then, put the MP3 files in a zip as a reply to this mail and I'll do them for you :D
Guest quacka Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 so wm2003 support wma as ringtone but the mpx200 wm2002 don't?
Guest MPXtricky Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 that's not what the man said. He said 2003 *does* support wma. I have an MPX200. I'll try creating a wma ringtone and let you know if it works. watch this space...
Guest MPXtricky Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 . . .an emphatic NO. The wma file type is not displayed as an option when changing the ringtone. I changed the registry setting for RINGTONE0 to point to the .wma file but when I rang my mobile from the land line, the phone had overridden my settings to standard.wav so you can use .wav or type 0 .mid only OK? eyethankyew
Guest Johnathan Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I am trying to set WMA and WAV files as a ring tone as discussed above but cannot seem to do it on my E200, all I get is the frustrating ding. Have I got the wrong end of the stick, can you use music CDs as ring tones and if so could somebody please submit and idiots guide to this process. Many Thanks
Guest MPXtricky Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I have an MPX200 with SP2002 and the .wav files I use I reformatted as 22.050 kHhz 8 bit mono. These work a treat. Dunno about SP2003 but SEARCH this site and I'm sure you'll find the answers you seek
