Feedback "buzz" sound while screen is lit up

Hello,

I am getting an annoyingly loud buzzing "feedback" sound only when the screen is on. When the screen turns itself off after the programmed amount of time, the feedback sound goes away. I have tried changing every sound and profile setting, but it still buzzes/whines.

Also, is there a setting for reducing the "brightness" of the screen?

It is an ATT wireless branded phone.

This problem has been posted about before with two

different explanations.

1, When this starts the keypad backlight is about to fail.

2, The buzz is coming from an inductor in a switching power supply in the base of the phone.

Either way it appears to be a hardware fault, so the phone will need to be sent off for repair ;)

I have not had this problem so I cannot confirm the above :?

i had this problem after two days. i noticed the keypad lights flickering and the buzzing interefered with the calls. I took it straight back and got my instore 30 day replacement, havn't had that problem since.
