e200 hangs after changing skin

Hi guys.

getting a bit of a problem now that i've performed the new orange upgrade.

I like all the new features, better battery, better fonts etc BUT when I use skins other than the default, it causes my phone to hang during bootup - specifically during the second bottup screen without fail, I have to perform a hard reset to get it to work again.

Haven't tried all skins but the "Brushed2" skin, "SmartOS" skin and celsol's "Splasback" skin all cause probs.

Any ideas?

Hmm ... when you say heard reset, do you actually mean you have to restore the factory settings?? Every time?? Or do you just mean you have to reboot the phone (simple switch on/off)??

I am having a similar problem when changing skins (which I tend to do about a hundred times a day when designing something). But the phone just wont return to the homescreen. It will still do everything else, I can access the camera, select items on the setting screen - but the back & home keys, soft keys & power button will not repsond until I pull the battery.

Thing is tho - its impossible to replicate the problem. Just seems to be a random lock up. I was beggining to think it was something to do with my xml files or something, but if its happening to other people then obviously not!! :shock: I had this problem occassionally pre-update, but the update seems to have made it worse.

nope, i don't mean turn off then on....i wish it was that easy!

I aatually have to restore the factory settings because the phone fails to get past the second startup screen.

Unfortunatly (fortunately..depending on how you look at it), it's not random..it happens every time....and only since doing the update, before that I used all the skins fine.
