What does torch.exe do?

I downloaded a program called torch.exe

it opens up, but what does it do? :D

Doesn't do much *S* - it displays a while background with the backlight on ... so you can use your phone as a "torch" - read in the dark, search for your keyhole at night .. and whatnot =)

doesnt actually work on mine for some reason, I got the impression it is supposed to turn the backlight on, but mine still times out :?

it was written way back not long after the spv was launched.

Dont know if its compatable with newer handsets... for instance the e200 with smartphone 2003 or the mpx200

As far as i can rem it doesnt change the backlight settings...only displays a white screen. You jus keep pressing a key to keep it on.

did no one tell you guys--on the orginal SPV it makes a lazer beam emmit from the top of the phone star wars stylee, i dont think this feature is supported on later models---damn microsoft how am i meant to slay the baddies now :D ;)

It didn't come with The Force though, so you must already know some sort of sword art in order to use the LightSmartPhoneSaber (LSPS). :twisted:

This app works better on the original SPV aka HTC Canary as the screen on that is front lit, but the E100, E200 etc. are back lit and so don't let as much light out :D
