Mitac 8380 backlight

My 8380 does not have a backlight setting longer than 60 sec. In the Chinese language mode 'never' appears but when I return to English it is gone. The problem is I'm not Chinese

This sounds like the ticket. However after downloading the smartphone registry editor I can't find it on my phone even though it says that it has been downloaded successfully. Where do I go to bring it up

I forget where it installs but did you check in your accessories folder???
