Guest DAK ATTACK Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I have a E200 and my App Mgr folder is huge! Most of it is singular files in seperate folders for uninstalled applications. On the Pocket PC's you could use ActiveSync or Explorer to delete the files but on the E200 they are set to Archive and system properties so you can not delete them using resco or smart explore. There must be a way, so far I have over half a MB of dump and I wanna keep it clean without a hard reset. C'mon Star posters, giv us an idea/answer please. -The DAK!
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I always delete them via ActiveSync after uninstalling. I don't know why the folders aren't removed automatically, but I've never had any problems getting rid of them. Can you not change the properties or rename them first ?
Guest DAK ATTACK Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Smart Explorer wont save the properties changes and resco jsut wont allow you to select the option. Can I change the properties in ActiveSync if so where?
Guest DAK ATTACK Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Sorry had that software lock thingy on since the ROM upgrade. DOH!
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Just to confirm ; you've application unlocked your phone again and now you can clear out the left-overs ? Didn't think of that one !
Guest DAK ATTACK Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Yep indeed. Uninstalling apps, home themes via cab always leaves the kunk in the app mgr folder so I was kinda get alot of err junk. I never performed the software unlock after the OS upgrade. Now I have I can delete via ActiveSync. Sorry for wasting time but at least your post triggered by brain!
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Time not wasted mate. :D Someone else is bound to have the same problem sooner or later.
