Guest lowbug Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Anyone else had issues with them? Customer services suck big time. I am current talking to trading standards about them promising £50 cash back only to say sorry you never sent the certificate.. funny i rang 2 times for it! Oh and because i never had a 'certificate' i lose £100 ****ers.... :D
Guest MECX Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 sounds harsh man hope you get it sorted :? :x

Guest Rob.P Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 I did my time 3months with one stop and then cut all ties once my free insurance ran out, have cancelled all direct debits have nothing else to do with them. Best way to do it, I only wanted a cheap E200 when it came out, I got that, I'm not gonna even bother with the other bits they offered.

What about your credit rating? Won't they persue you? You signed up to a 12 month contract so I think that cancelling direct debits is not advisable.

The direct debit for the phone bill will be with Orange not Onestopphoneshop..........
Guest Rob.P Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Yeah just to clarify I cancelled the DD for the insurance and the extortionate Tech Support (as if I'd ever use it). I don't have DD's with Orange by choice, due to the fact that I don't like their billing system, prefer to pay all my bills at the start of the month (the beauty of internet banking) rather than half way through. This has no effect on my credit rating in fact because I pay at the start of the month, I actually get bonus points on my credit rating cause I pay my bill in advance (albeit by about a week or 2).
Guest AngelOfRage Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Yeah i was unable to claim my cashback from them as i left it to long, basically there is a time limit to claiming it.
Guest lowbug Posted April 24, 2004 Report Posted April 24, 2004 I never got sent the *certificate* I told them in the time period they promised twice to send it... guess what it never turned up. The time period expires and they say sorry the time has expired? I said but i told you in the time period, the moron said we never issue another certificate??? Well they never issued the first one! Funny that.... MMMmmmmmmmm........ Sounds like a nice little con.....
Guest AngelOfRage Posted April 25, 2004 Report Posted April 25, 2004 Yeah i thought that aswell... basically offer people a cash back incentive to buy from your company, after 4 months not many people will remember to send a copy of their bill to them i time (i think there is only a 4 week window)
Guest zabirp Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 I got Scre**d aswell, i was told id get 2000 txts for 6 months. First bill came and £8 charges for sms, rang up orange who said they've not had anything from osps. Rang osps up said they'd sort it out. But they didn't. Rang again and send the free texts eren'y available on my tariff!! :x
Guest MARKUKCOUK Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 i would never ever deal with onestopphoneshop.... the phones are cheap - but dont let that convince you. I got a xda2 from them, arrived with a dead pixel, and they didnt want to know - even though the first bloke i spoke to said of course bring it back (or send it) and theyd swap it. Trust me when i say... WHATEVER YOU THINK OF THE PRICES AND OFFERS, NEVER BUY FROM ONESTOP!!!
Guest AngelOfRage Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 (another winge...) they also messed my bill up so that i was paying direct debit, but they hadn't told orange i was so orange were charging me for not paying by direct debit. i only noticed 5 months later (silly me i know). but Orange came to the rescue and refunded me the amount.
