Guest kid2701 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I am very curious why there is not possible to do auto keylock with my SPV E200. Any ideas?
Guest ChrisJM Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 there is not curruntly an app that will do this and it is not built in but there could probably be an app written that will do this...
Guest JoelRae Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 can you not go to Settings > Security, and enable phone lock with a simple password ("0" works for me) and set it to lock the phone after 1 minute? Dunno if they got rid of that function after the spv classic  Joel
Guest biffsmash Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 you can do that on the E100 too, I haven't checked on the E200 but I would imagine its there, but locking keypad without a code would be nice too :D
Guest RussellH Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Isn't that what the red call hang up button does if press and hold it for a few seconds?
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 This was argued before, however if you set the password as a one digit number then all you have to press is one key and "unlock". The minimum with no password would be 2 keystrokes so its no more inefficient using the method described above :D
Guest MECX Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 get a flip phone ;) it may be more inefficient mono but i think people are after the 'auto' bit of the locking ---so you can just throw your phone in your pocket/bag and not worry about if youve locked the keys or not :D
Guest Burzum Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Isn't that what the red call hang up button does if press and hold it for a few seconds? Not exactly: this is a "manual keylock" but we are talking about an auto keylock :D
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 yeah mecx, i know. With any keylock you'll need to press a two key combination, if you set the password as a one digit number you still only have two keystrokes to unlock the phone and it will still auto lock again.
