Guest mcwarre Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Is it me or are there a significant amount of completely useless applications being launched (have been launched) for the Smartphone?? Whilst I like all the freeware, and have paid for several licensed software, it seems that there is a plethora of utter sh*te out now. Ok so who is pressurizing me to buy it? No one, which is a good job because I can’t believe they have the cheek to actually charge for somethings. Let’s take a few examples: Echo Voice Recorder a bargain at $17.99 ClearVue Suite only $29.99. What’s the point in having something that can only view not edit. Anyone still have a video player (only) as opposed to recorder? Nah thought not! Caller ID Software. How many different versions are there? I suppose it is such a huge market they can all have a big slice of the cake :D Anyone add further to the list?????
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 My vote goes to the plethora of encyclopedias (encyclopediae ? - is there a good dictionary anywhere ? :D ) just arriiving on the market, but I suppose someone will find them useful :? l
Guest markgamber Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Get a compiler and write something worthwhile, anyone can b1tch.
Guest mcwarre Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Get a compiler and write something worthwhile, anyone can b1tch. Oooo, Girlfriend! :D ;) I was highlighting the useless applications that require payment so someone else has coded them. I am entitled to an opinion because I have wasted money on several useless applications. What's your excuse?
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Chill out mate, it's humourous comment, not b1tching
Guest squall Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 i would include this on your list! See HERE
Guest Disco Stu Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 What about the Orange Emblaze media player :D
Guest TANKERx Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 I just got FoneDb and it's about as flexible as a concrete yardstick. Maybe I should learn the lesson that if there's no demo version, then it's probably useless.
