After ROM update, email trouble

Having installed the ROM update (2.6.1.3) from the orange website, whenever I sync into Outlook, I only ever get the header of my emails, not the body text as before. Can anyone shed any light on this?

goto account setup, next thru all the username bits etc, to the page that says 'Download the following messages:' change 2nd box to entire message, first 500/1000 bytes instead of 'header only'

Have done that but changing this setting seems to have no effect.
