Guest pwt4 Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Is there a way to teach the T9 predictive text new words on the SPV E200? On my old Nokia when you scrolled through the predicted words you were offered a 'spell' option and could then teach it a new word for that combination of keys. Can't find a way to do the same thing from my E200. eg Want it to write E115 (by pressing 3115) but can't find any way to tell it to remember this. Is there a way to do this - and if so how?
Guest pwt4 Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 You may find THIS useful ... check out irc.xnet.org #pocketpc Thanks - but as you will see I'm a bit of a novice at this stuff and have no idea how to access irc.xnet.org #pocketpc. I tried just typing it into my browser but didn't work. Can you spell it out for me in newbee speak? Thanks!
Guest squall Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 lol click on the words THIS in the first post - its a link.
Guest James Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 If you want to use the phone to teach it words... go into 'abc' mode the type the word followed by a space.... BE WARNED the phone does not always remember the words after a re-boot! (not sure why??) So..... you may also find this a help:- http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=106907
Guest carvas Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 hmmm... don't know if the SPV E200 is different, but in my Qtek 8080 if you put the word letter by letter WITH T9 ON and you follow by a space it saves the word... Regards!

Regards! The uk roms suffer from a problem where the T9 words are wiped on reboot. I believe this has been corrected on the Qtek 8080 rom.
