Guest tweek Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 need some help here on de-certing thru Orange's Devzone... i went thru the disabling of the certificate security and got to here: Your SPV will be unlocked shortly and a message will appear on the screen of your SPV to confirm this. Please note that it may take upto 5 minutes for your device to be unlocked. however, i'm not able to see tat message appearing in my HTC even after 5 mins... is there anything wrong wif the disabling process?

Guest Vector Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Before you go through the decert process, make sure you have a GPRS connection open, for example just open up pocket internet explorer and connect to a web site and then do the decert process :D
Guest tweek Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 hey... another question... how come when i open up Action Register... it still indicates that the Lock: Running thingy? apparently some of the apps are still locked :D
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 all Action Register does is register your IMEI with the unlock server and only needs to be run once when you first decert your phone. What apps are you refering to still being locked?

What apps are you refering to still being locked? basically just some homescreens... just prompted that it doesn't have sufficient permission to install or something like this....
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 By the sounds of it your phone is not decerted yet, i would try again, sometimes the mesage for unlocking can take a few hours to come through.
