Guest jscotl Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Just downloaded the E200 ROM update, followed the instructions but I'm left with a fone that has no display :D I did not get much info appearing on my PC, other than the msg "Don not disconnect blah blah.... Been running for over an hour & the PC became un-responsive  When I power the E200, it states "Card Found" then Press any key to run bootloader, then the Red, Green & Blue screen stating "Smart Phone v1.03 doc" Someone please tell me that I've not F**ked my fone & that you know how to resolve, pleeeeaassee.... :?:
Guest Panja Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 You need to remove the sd card. Reboot your pc and close all background tasks (ctrl+alt+del, etc) Reboot your phone in the 3 color mode (hold down the camera button while powering on) (make sure your sd card is out!) When the phone is in 3 color mode put it in the cradle and run the update. Dont do anything else on the pc besides the update. Should run this way. Good luck
Guest jscotl Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Cheers Panja :D Sorted :!: Did not see any guidance during the update to remove the card (mind you I only have the dummy card in the slot) But hey, all's well that ends well ;) :P Thanks
Guest Y-Wing Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 Same thing happened to me. Phone 156 who said that it could take up to 50 mins. However after 2 hours of "Do not disconnect" I got suspicious that my PC was frozen because the clock on the task bar had not updated :!: . So after checking posts on here I disconnected phone and battery, re-ran update from scratch and it worked. :D Why they don't advise it should take about 5 mins on the initial download Web page is bad enough, but 156 saying 50 mins is even worse
Guest Vector Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 i have run the update a few times :D It froze first time and crashed PC, but all the other times it has run fine ;)
